Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Recently, certain Telegram channels and other internet resources have been disseminating information concerning the management and employees of the Migration Agency that is inaccurate, unverified, and presented in a one-sided manner.

In relation to these cases, the competent law enforcement authorities are conducting inspections and investigative procedures in accordance with the procedure established by law. Based on the results of these examinations, all circumstances will be given an appropriate legal assessment.

In this regard, we would like to draw the public’s attention to the fact that any information concerning the activities of state bodies and their officials should be assessed solely on the basis of official sources and reliable evidence.

The dissemination of personal data through certain internet resources, the publication of information damaging to a person’s honor and dignity, as well as actions aimed at misleading the public, will be subject to measures in accordance with the procedure established by law.

The Migration Agency continues its activities based on the principles of transparency, legality, and accountability, and, in cooperation with law enforcement authorities, ensures that all circumstances are thoroughly clarified.

We call upon the public and representatives of the mass media to rely exclusively on official sources of information.
