Regarding the conflict situation that arose among labor migrants

On May 12, 2026, a mass conflict situation occurred among workers from various countries at the “Sinyavinskaya” poultry factory located in the Priladojskiy settlement of the Kirov district, Leningrad region of the Russian Federation.
According to preliminary information, about 60 employees from the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh took part in the incident, including 30 citizens of Uzbekistan.
As a result of the conflict situation, 24 individuals were admitted to medical institutions, including 3 citizens of Uzbekistan and 21 citizens of Bangladesh. It was noted that 7 of the injured are in serious condition. In addition, 12 individuals were detained administratively.
According to preliminary information, the conflict was caused by personal disagreements and inappropriate behavior among certain employees. The situation reportedly began with an argument in the production area, then continued in the dormitory area and escalated into a mass conflict.
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out by the law enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is under consideration.
The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Saint Petersburg, together with the representative office of the Migration Agency, has taken the situation under постоянный control and established contacts with local authorities and the employer.
