Regarding the video that circulated on social media on March 12 of this year, the following is reported.
According to the information, 5 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan who worked at the "Karima" restaurant in Astana, Kazakhstan, received an appeal about the confiscation of their passports by the employer and the non-payment of wages for 3 months.
In connection with this situation, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Astana took prompt measures and contacted the management of the "Karima" restaurant. During the conversation, appropriate demands were made regarding the return of citizens' documents and the full payment of wages.
The situation was also taken under control by the competent authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and administrative measures were taken against the employer.
As a result of the measures taken, on March 14 of this year, the passports of our citizens were fully returned, and their wages in the amount of 5,290 US dollars were recovered.
