






On 16 April of this year, Helene Sand Andresen, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Termez Archaeological Museum.
During the visit, the Ambassador became acquainted with the museum’s activities and its rich archaeological collections. She was introduced to unique exhibits reflecting the history of Bactrian and Kushan civilizations, as well as archaeological artefacts illustrating the history of the Great Silk Road.
At the conclusion of the visit, it was emphasized that the meeting would contribute to the further development of international cooperation in the field of cultural heritage and the broader promotion of historical heritage.
For information: The Termez Archaeological Museum was established on 2 April 2002 and today houses a collection of more than 130,000 exhibits. Its holdings include unique archaeological artefacts and museum objects dating from the Bronze Age to the 20th century.
