Uzbekistan and Palo Alto Networks Discuss Strategic Partnership in Cybersecurity

As part of his working visit to the United States, Minister of investment, industry and trade Laziz Kudratov, together with Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with Daniel Kroese, Vice President for Public Policy and Government Cooperation at Palo Alto Networks.
The discussion focused on strengthening Uzbekistan’s cybersecurity potential, developing human capital, and implementing advanced technological solutions in data protection and digital resilience.
The parties exchanged views on sharing international best practices, organizing consultations and training programs on data security, early threat detection, and rapid response mechanisms.
The meeting also addressed the evaluation of technical security and compliance of startup projects with modern international standards.
Particular attention was given to the potential integration of artificial intelligence, automated monitoring systems, threat detection algorithms, and modern encryption technologies into Uzbekistan’s national digital infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to establish a long-term strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Palo Alto Networks, launch advanced cybersecurity programs, and develop a pool of innovative solutions while enhancing the training of qualified specialists in the field.
