The iFLYTEK Open Platform Central Asia Launch Event was held in Tashkent, marking the official launch of the company's open platform for Central Asia in Uzbekistan. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, international companies, the IT industry, and foreign guests.
Ahead of the opening ceremony, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov visited an exhibition showcasing iFLYTEK's latest artificial intelligence technologies and digital solutions.
Richard Yu, the Senior Vice President of iFLYTEK, introduced the company's Spark large language model, multilingual artificial intelligence technologies, voice recognition and speech synthesis systems, AI-powered business solutions, and the company's open developer platform and planned initiatives for Central Asia during the exhibition.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister Shermatov emphasized that the development of the digital economy and artificial intelligence remains one of Uzbekistan's key national priorities.
He noted that the country's ongoing reforms have supported strong economic growth, improved the investment climate, and strengthened Uzbekistan's position in international rankings. The Minister also reaffirmed Uzbekistan's ambition to become a regional hub for global technology companies, highlighting continued investment in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and the innovation ecosystem.
Shermatov welcomed iFLYTEK's decision to establish its Central Asia Open Platform in Uzbekistan, expressing confidence that the initiative will create new opportunities for local technology companies, startups, and software developers while accelerating the region's AI ecosystem.
William Zhou, Vice President of the iFLYTEK Open Platform, also addressed participants, presenting the company's latest achievements in artificial intelligence. He noted that iFLYTEK launched its Spark large language model in 2023 and that its AI technologies are now widely deployed across education, healthcare, finance, telecommunications, the automotive industry, and other sectors.
He further emphasized the company's commitment to supporting developers through its open platform, which is designed to expand access to artificial intelligence technologies, strengthen collaboration with the developer community, and contribute to the development of a robust innovation ecosystem across Central Asia.
The event concluded with demonstrations of iFLYTEK's latest AI products and solutions for the Central Asian market, including multilingual AI technologies, intelligent AI agents, AI-powered digital services, and new capabilities available through the company's open platform for developers.
