From September 10 to 15, 2025, the “Green Future” Eco-Camp was held at the International Chess School in Kiziltepa district, Navoi region. The camp was dedicated to raising youth ecological literacy and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
The event brought together over 140 eco-active young participants, who presented their own projects. Throughout the camp, participants enhanced their knowledge and skills on pressing topics such as climate change, drinking water issues, developing and implementing eco-projects, protecting flora and fauna, waste sorting and recycling, and reducing the impact of plastic waste on the environment.
A variety of competitions and intellectual activities were held. Notably, the online “Eco Quiz” and the intellectual game “Eco Zakovat” tested participants’ ecological awareness and sparked lively discussions.
Under the slogan “Towards a Green Future”, a plogging eco-action was organized. During this activity, 140 participants divided into 5 teams and collected about 800 kg of litter left behind by holidaymakers along the Tudakul lake shore, making a valuable contribution to environmental cleanliness. The collected waste was removed and disposed of with the help of special equipment.
As part of the camp’s cultural program, the Youth Affairs Agency and Global Animation Studio presented the national animated film “Green Space”, while the short film “Sho‘rxok,” dedicated to the Aral Sea crisis, was also screened. In addition, the www.batareykalar.uz initiative was introduced.
The most active participants and winners of the contests will be awarded during the camp’s closing ceremony.
