Let's not abandon the youth with their "problems"
Nowadays, thousands of young people are being engulfed by psychoactive substances like a whirlwind. They seem buried in their world with "problems," "burned" by love, feeling the "faithlessness" of the world due to its enormity, and have turned to drugs to escape from it.
These thoughts are also confirmed by numbers. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, over the last 5 years, the number of young people held accountable for the illegal circulation of narcotics, psychotropic and potent substances has increased by 74% (students by 21%, schoolchildren by 6 times). Specifically, 5,728 young people (117 students and 45 schoolchildren) have been held accountable. Additionally, the ministry added that 81 kg of psychotropic substances were removed from circulation in 2022, and 172 kg in 2023.
It is evident from the above data that the situation is serious, and the measures being taken, along with the counter-propaganda efforts, are not yielding the expected results.
Four out of every five young people are depressed, dissatisfied with life, and in a nervous mood. Many attribute this primarily to social networks. Young people see a light, luxurious lifestyle on the network and involuntarily compare it to their own situation. Therefore, they are always dissatisfied and give up easily when difficulties arise.
What can be done to reduce the attraction of drugs and the consumption of psychotropic substances among the young?
