In the capital, the next major segment of the Global Youth Festival — the "Week of International Cooperation in Youth Policy" — has begun. This week serves to exchange international experience, foster dialogue, and strengthen cooperation in the field of youth policy.
As a reminder, earlier segments of the festival included the "Digital Green Initiatives Week" (May 14–17) and the "Youth Entrepreneurship Week" (June 3–6).
Today, the week kicked off with a plenary session titled "Global Cooperation in Youth Policy: Joint Efforts for a Sustainable Future." Presentations and discussions were held with the participation of international experts, focusing on Uzbekistan’s role in global youth policy.
Prominent representatives from international organizations and various countries attended the event, including:
-
Omer Kojaman, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States
-
Jan Lin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA)
-
Representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)
-
Timur Gabdulovich Jumurbaev, Chair of the Assembly of Youth and member of the Kazakhstan People’s Assembly
-
Delegates from youth organizations of Austria, Belarus, Malaysia, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain
As part of the week, another key event — the Uzbekistan–Malaysia Youth Organizations Forum — is also scheduled. The forum is expected to further strengthen friendly ties between the youth of both countries.
The "Week of International Cooperation in Youth Policy" will run until June 30.
Overall, the Global Youth Festival serves as a unique platform for effective communication, mutual exchange of experience, and the promotion of global youth initiatives.
