Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

As reported, today UN Assistant Secretary-General Felipe Paullier, during his visit to Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Alisher Sa’dullayev, Director of the Youth Affairs Agency, and Sabine Mahl, UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sabine Mahl noted with satisfaction that under the leadership of the President, youth-related reforms in Uzbekistan are being implemented systematically. She also praised the strong partnership built with the UN.

During the discussion, S. Mahl proposed bringing Uzbekistan’s youth leadership system and reforms to the international stage and sharing the country’s experience globally through various UN structures.

Felipe Paullier, in turn, emphasized the need to increase the number of young Uzbeks working within the UN system. He also proposed presenting Uzbekistan’s experience to representatives of 193 countries at the upcoming UN General Assembly session in September.
