Recognized as one of the world’s most innovative higher education institutions, this visit is considered a major step toward aligning Uzbekistan’s higher education system with global standards.
Over the past three years (2022–2024), Minerva University has gained global recognition for its innovative approach, particularly in the development of startups, modern teaching methods, and success in venture funding. During a meeting with the university’s founder and president, Ben Nelson, discussions were held on how to adapt Minerva’s experience to Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions.
Inspired by Minerva’s educational model, members of the delegation emphasized the need to introduce programs in Uzbekistan that strengthen the startup ecosystem and provide students with hands-on, practical knowledge. This would not only support innovative ideas but also strengthen integration between science and business.
At the end of the meeting, Ben Nelson was invited to visit Uzbekistan, and the invitation was warmly accepted. The visit is expected to serve as a platform to strengthen ties with Minerva and deepen international cooperation.
Conclusion: The growing interest of Uzbek youth in Minerva’s experience reflects an increasing demand for innovative education in the country. In the long term, such initiatives will serve as one of the key factors for integration into the global knowledge landscape.
