Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Today, youth participation in international political processes has become a fundamental necessity. The “ECOSOC Youth Forum” is one of the key platforms that formally enables this participation. The recommendations developed during the forum are directed toward other major UN political processes, particularly the High-Level Political Forum and the World Social Summit.

This prestigious forum, where important decisions about the future of global youth are discussed, is held annually by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It encourages youth to actively engage in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The main goal of the forum is to provide young people with an opportunity to voice their ideas and opinions on how to improve the world by 2030 and to influence UN-level decisions.

It is worth noting that this year, the Uzbekistan delegation led by Youth Affairs Agency Director Alisher Sa’dullayev will participate in the forum. Presentations will be held on the opportunities created for youth in our country.

Uzbekistan has been participating in this forum regularly since 2018. This reflects the attention of our country’s leadership to youth, growing international recognition of Uzbekistan, and the country's increasing prestige in the global arena.
