The “President’s Cup” 3rd International Chess Tournament Concluded
As we reported earlier, the prize fund for the “President’s Cup” amounted to 75,000 USD, and top grandmasters from around the world competed for the prestigious title.
🏆 Today, the closing ceremony of the tournament took place in our capital, where the winners were honored. According to the final results, the grand prize went to Indian Grandmaster Nihal Sarin. In the final match, Nihal drew with Nodirbek Abdusattorov and secured an absolute victory with 7.5 points. Our compatriot Javohir Sindarov took 2nd place, while Iranian Parham Mahsoudloo finished in 3rd place.
Additionally, our players Shamsiddin Vokhidov (4th place), Nodirbek Abdusattorov (5th place), Nodirbek Yakubboev (6th place), and Ortiq Nigmatov (7th place) were also among the prizewinners.
