Today, on September 10th, the opening ceremony of the 45th World Chess Olympiad will take place in Budapest, Hungary.

In this Olympiad, 197 men's teams and 184 women's teams are participating. The Uzbekistan chess team will defend our country's honor in both groups. The tournament will follow the Swiss system and consist of 11 rounds.

Representing Uzbekistan's men's national team are Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Javohir Sindarov, Nodirbek Yakubboyev, Shamsiddin Vohidov, and Jahongir Vahidov.

In the women's national team, Afruza Hamdamova, Nilufar Yakubbayeva, Umida Omonova, Marjona Malikova, and Nodira Nodirjonova will compete. These teams are considered the strongest chess players representing our country in international competitions.
