Today, December 19, at 2:00 p.m., a briefing was held at the Youth Affairs Agency building on the work carried out by the Agency within the framework of the anti-corruption program in 2025.
A comprehensive analysis of the measures taken by the central office, territorial departments, district and city departments, as well as mahalla-level structures of the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of combating corruption in 2025 was conducted.
In particular, during the reporting period, 15 training courses and 12 seminars were organized to strengthen legal knowledge and practical skills in combating corruption among employees of the central office, which fully covered all 97 employees. Specific tasks were assigned to responsible employees to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
During these training sessions, the legal framework for combating corruption, mechanisms for identifying and eliminating conflicts of interest, ensuring openness and transparency in the public procurement process, as well as strengthening financial discipline were covered in detail. In order to strengthen open dialogue between employees and young people, 10 anti-corruption awareness-raising events were held.
In 14 territorial departments of the Agency, anti-corruption activities were carried out based on an approved unified plan, and special attention was paid to increasing legal literacy in the field.
In particular, during the reporting period, in the territorial departments:
220 training courses were organized, in which 4,500 employees participated.
These events served to ensure openness in combating corruption at the regional level, strengthen public control, and create an atmosphere of intolerance towards corruption among young people. Special attention was paid to increasing the activity of youth leaders as a lower level of the fight against corruption in the neighborhoods.
In particular:
3,000 youth leaders underwent special training on combating corruption;
More than 500 promotional events were organized on the initiative of youth leaders, reaching about 60,000 young people and citizens.
These activities served to bring the process of combating corruption directly down to the neighborhood level and to strengthen the principles of honesty and openness in society through young people.
In order to identify corruption risks in the system early, assess them and effectively manage them, systematic analysis was carried out during the reporting period between the central apparatus and regional units. These processes were aimed at ensuring transparency in the Agency, strengthening internal control mechanisms and preventing corruption.
According to the results of 2025, the overall coverage of conflict of interest declarations in the Youth Affairs Agency system was 97 percent.
In the Youth Affairs Agency system, a thorough analysis of violations identified during the reporting period was carried out based on monitoring, internal audit, compliance control, and received appeals and reports on combating corruption. The main focus of these processes was on eliminating corruption risks, strengthening service discipline, and ensuring legality.
Within the framework of the GRACE international program, the Agency implemented large-scale and systematic measures aimed at increasing the legal literacy of young people, forming an uncompromising attitude towards corruption in society, as well as widely promoting the principles of honesty, openness, and justice.
In particular, during the reporting period, anti-corruption awareness and educational activities were organized in 9,008 neighborhoods across the republic, reaching 1,080,960 young people. These events were held at the mahalla level in a way that was accessible, understandable, and practical to the population, and served to increase young people's legal knowledge and raise their awareness of the negative consequences of corruption.
