Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Youth from Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan and Mongolia exchanged views on the work being done in their countries on ecology and climate change at a joint side event within the framework of COP-30 in Brazil.

The meeting was also attended by Uzbekistan's young climate negotiators - Sugdiona Khushnudbekova, Shahnoza Rahmanova and other young activists.

During the side event, the participants provided information on the achievements and current problems in the process of fulfilling NDC commitments, as well as on environmental initiatives put forward by young people. Areas such as involving citizens in decision-making processes and developing new projects were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, young environmental activists developed a joint action plan. As noted at the meeting, since climate change is a global problem, the fight against it should be carried out not individually, but in cooperation.
