Recommended educational institutions
The following institutions are listed as foreign religious educational institutions recommended by the Advisory Council under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Al-Azhar University
An internationally recognized educational institution in the field of religious education.
2 | Russian Federation
Bulgar Islamic Academy
An institution of Islamic education and scientific research operating in the Russian Federation.
3 | Russian Federation
Russian Islamic Institute
A foreign educational institution training specialists in the field of Islamic education.
4 | Russian Federation
Russian Islamic University
A higher educational institution operating in the field of religious education and scientific-practical training.
5 | Malaysia
International Islamic University Malaysia
A leading foreign educational institution in international Islamic education, research and academic programs.
6 | United Kingdom
Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies
A centre operating in the fields of Islamic civilization, history, culture and scientific research.
Procedure for applying to the Al-Azhar educational complex
Applications for admission of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to all institutions of the Al-Azhar educational complex are accepted by the Advisory Council: for the current year from June 25 to July 15, and for subsequent years throughout the year from August 1 to June 30 of the following year.
Required documents
1. Application
Completed according to the established sample form.
2. Copy of passport or ID card
A copy of the identity document must be submitted.
3. Education document
A document confirming completion of general secondary, secondary specialized, vocational or higher education.
4. Personal information form and autobiography
The personal information form is submitted according to the established sample, while the autobiography is submitted in free form.

Applications are accepted by the Working Group of the Advisory Council at the following address: 12 A. Navoi Street, Shaykhantakhur district, Tashkent, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00. For information: (71) 207-17-58.
