Relevant measures taken in connection with violations of advertising legislation related to the organization of Umrah

During inspections carried out by the regional departments of the Competition Committee in Fergana, Andijan, and Bukhara regions, violations of advertising legislation related to the organization of Umrah activities were identified.
Fergana Region
During the inspection conducted by the regional department, it was established that citizen X.S. disseminated advertisements for travel services on his “Umra” Telegram channel without possessing the required license and permits.
Meanwhile, according to Article 16 of the Law “On Advertising,” advertising services that require a license or special permit without the necessary documentation is strictly prohibited.
Based on the identified violations, the regional department submitted the case to court for imposing administrative liability on the citizen.
Andijan Region
The inspection revealed that LLC “ABU ZUBAYR TREVEL” was engaged in organizing Umrah without the necessary licenses or permits, while actively promoting its services on the Telegram social network.
Following the findings, the regional department’s commission initiated proceedings against LLC “ABU ZUBAYR TREVEL” for violating the relevant provisions of the Law “On Advertising,” and based on the review results, a decision was made to impose a financial penalty.
Furthermore, instructions were issued to eliminate the violation and to prevent similar cases in the future.
Bukhara Region
As a result of the analysis conducted by the regional department, it was established that LLC “SOKIN TURIZM BUKHARA” also disseminated advertisements related to the organization of Umrah without the required licensing documents.
Based on the identified facts, the regional department’s commission initiated proceedings against LLC “SOKIN TURIZM BUKHARA” for violating the requirements of the Law “On Advertising,” and decided to impose a financial penalty.
Additionally, the company was instructed to rectify the violation and was warned against future infringements.
The Competition Committee reminds citizens and business entities that advertising goods and services requiring a license or special permit without the relevant documentation constitutes a violation of the law.
