Meeting of Uzbekistan’s Delegation of Religious and Educational Representatives with the King of Jordan

As is known, on August 25–26 of this year, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan paid a state visit to our country.
During this visit, large-scale cooperation agreements were signed between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In order to further develop the partnership relations established during that visit, a delegation of Uzbekistan is currently in Jordan on an official visit. The delegation is led by Presidential Adviser Sardor Umurzakov and includes Deputy Presidential Adviser, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Kamilov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Davronbek Makhsudov, Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan Muhammadolim Muhammadsiddiqov, as well as other officials of our country.
The delegation members are scheduled to hold a number of meetings in Jordan. The first of these was held with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein.
The meeting was attended by Presidential Adviser Sardor Umurzakov and Deputy Presidential Adviser, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Kamilov.
During the talks, Presidential Adviser Sardor Umurzakov expressed sincere gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein for the warm welcome and emphasized that a new stage has begun in the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan.
In turn, His Majesty King Abdullah II highly appreciated the strong friendship between Jordan and Uzbekistan, stressing the need to continue cooperation and to make use of the existing growth potential, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, healthcare, education, and tourism.
In addition, throughout the day, members of the delegation also held meetings with the King’s Chief Adviser on Religious and Cultural Affairs, Prince Amir Ghazi, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places Muhammad Al-Khalayleh, Grand Mufti of Jordan Ahmad Al-Hasanat, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi.
