An International Scientific-Practical Conference Was Held

The conference was organized in cooperation with the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA).
The international conference, held in both online and offline formats, was opened with welcoming remarks by the Deputy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Representative Bodies, NGOs, Religious and Youth Affairs; Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Muzaffar Kamilov; First Vice-President – Chief Scientific Secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Shamansur Sagdullaev; Academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan – Kalandar Abdurakhmanov, Saidakhrror Ghulomov, Ne’matulla Ibrohimov; Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages, Cairo University, Djalol Said Hafnawi; Chairman of the Center for Information and Arab-Russian Research of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Majid Abdulaziz Turki.
In addition, the congratulatory message of Professor Mahmud Erol Kılıç, Director General of IRCICA, was read by his Advisor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ashirbek Muminov.
The conference was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Davronbek Makhsudov; Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Muhammadolim Muhammadsiddiqov; IRCICA representatives – Dr. Alidost Ertugrul, Orkhan Cholak, Najat Sayim Khalil, Veysel Bulut, Betul Ayaz, Yekta Zulfikar; Instructor at the Institute of Turkology, Istanbul University, Ayna Askeroglu; Professor at Indiana University (USA), Akram Khabibulla; Director of the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, Shovosil Ziyodov; as well as professors and lecturers of higher education institutions of the country, experts, scholars, and students.
The conference featured presentations on topics such as “The Cultural Identity of Central Asia,” “The Issue of ʻIlm an-Nafis in the Works of Hakim Termizi,” “The Significance of Ubaydullah ibn Mas’ud Sadrushsharia’s Works in Islamic Studies,” “The Role of Female Hadith Scholars and Jurists of Mawarannahr,” “The Contribution of Central Asian Women to Islamic Civilization,” “The Development of Folk Handicrafts and Calligraphy in Central Asian Countries,” “Samarkand and Bukhara Manuscripts in U.S. Libraries.”
Speakers provided detailed insights into the historical role of Central Asia in the development of Islamic civilization and the ongoing scholarly research devoted to studying the intellectual and spiritual heritage of the region’s great scholars.
The conference, held in an atmosphere of lively debate and Q&A, left a lasting impression on participants.
Views were also exchanged on further strengthening scientific and practical cooperation with partner institutions.
