The Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairperson of the Committee on Family and Women Affairs, Ms. Z. Makhkamova, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Ms. M. Qakhkharova, and Governor of Jizzakh region, Mr. U. Mustafayev, who delivered welcoming speeches to the participants.

During the event, Ms. Qakhkharova provided a detailed explanation of the “Concept of State Policy on Ensuring Freedom of Conscience and Religious Affairs”, outlining its key principles, objectives, and tasks.

The main goal of the forum was to promote religious tolerance, interethnic harmony, and legal awareness in society; to foster a healthy spiritual environment among citizens; and to further strengthen effective cooperation among relevant institutions and civil society organizations.
