Dear compatriots,
This year, Eid al-Adha was celebrated across our country at a high organizational level, in an atmosphere of compassion, tolerance, solidarity, and mutual respect that reflects our national and religious values. The people-oriented reforms being implemented in our country under the principle of “For Human Dignity and Human Happiness” were also clearly reflected in the organization of the holiday events.
The resolutions adopted by the Honorable President, namely “On the Celebration of the Blessed Eid al-Adha” and “On State Support for the Population and the Effective Organization of Charity and Compassion Initiatives in Connection with the Blessed Eid al-Adha,” served as important guiding documents for ensuring the successful observance of the holiday, supporting socially vulnerable groups, and expanding charitable activities.
Based on these resolutions, a total of 690 billion Uzbek soums was allocated for social support measures. In particular:
— free medical treatment was provided for more than 12,000 patients. Vouchers are being issued for medical examinations and treatment of patients diagnosed with serious illnesses, including liver and kidney transplantation procedures;
— funds amounting to USD 200 were fully transferred to the savings accounts of 7,703 orphaned and socially vulnerable children;
— design and cost-estimation work commenced for the construction and renovation of ablution facilities at 500 mosques in a modern format;
— food packages were fully delivered to more than 213,000 families included in the “state-supported family” category of the social registry, as well as to elderly individuals living alone and persons with disabilities who require care and assistance.
To ensure the orderly conduct of Eid al-Adha events, a special Republican Headquarters comprising responsible representatives of relevant ministries and agencies was established, and coordinated efforts were carried out throughout all regions of the country.
Eid al-Adha prayers were performed in 2,091 of the 2,160 mosques operating across the Republic.
During the holiday sermons, particular emphasis was placed on the peace and stability prevailing in the country, the reforms being implemented in the religious and educational sphere, and prayers were offered for the continued development of the nation and the prosperity of its people.
To maintain public order and security during the holiday period, law enforcement personnel were deployed to mosques and venues hosting public events.
On the eve of and during the holiday, large-scale charity and compassion initiatives were carried out to support socially vulnerable segments of the population.
As part of the sacrificial offering campaign, a total of 28 tons and 200 kilograms of sacrificial meat were distributed among families in need throughout the country.
Prior to the holiday, extensive improvement and renovation works were undertaken at 1,468 sacred pilgrimage sites and 10,563 cemeteries nationwide.
At the direct initiative of the Honorable President, 100 citizens representing respected elders, labor veterans, and families in need of social assistance were sent on the blessed Hajj pilgrimage as “Presidential Pilgrims,” fully funded by the state.
At present, more than 15,000 pilgrims from Uzbekistan are performing religious rites in the Holy Lands, while organizational measures are being implemented to ensure their safe return home.
In particular, from June 2 to June 19 of the current year, pilgrims will be transported from the city of Jeddah to Uzbekistan through international airports located in 10 regions of the Republic.
The Eid al-Adha events and the “Hajj–2026” season were extensively covered by mass media outlets, as well as through 46 official websites and 1,082 social media pages. These media materials were warmly received by our compatriots and have generated positive public feedback.
