Presentation of the Guideline “Maternal and Child Health: Care and Support During Pregnancy”

On April 22–23 of the current year, a seminar dedicated to the presentation of the guideline “Maternal and Child Health: Care and Support During Pregnancy” is being held in cooperation with the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health, and UNICEF.
Approximately 40 imams and female religious educators (otinoyis) are participating in the seminar, exchanging views on strengthening maternal and child health, ensuring timely use of medical services during pregnancy, and the role of religious representatives in promoting healthy behavior within society.
In the opening part of the event, Ms. M. Qaxxarova, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Religious Affairs, emphasized the important role of religious representatives in ensuring maternal and child health and noted that the guideline will contribute to improving the medical culture of the population.
In addition, experts delivered presentations on the current situation, existing challenges, and ways to address them, as well as conducted practical sessions.
The event is expected to conclude tomorrow, during which participants will develop proposals regarding the guideline and adopt final conclusions.
