Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia: A New Stage of Effective Cooperation

Today, April 15, the Committee on Religious Affairs hosted the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saad Nasser Abu Humaid.
The Ambassador was warmly received by the Chairman of the Committee, S. Toshboyev.
At the beginning of the meeting, S. Toshboyev sincerely congratulated Saad Nasser Abu Humaid on the start of his responsible diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and wished him great success in his honorable duties.
It was noted that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have reached a new level, creating a solid foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation of significant scope and importance.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the multifaceted relations between the two countries are steadily developing thanks to the political will and determination of their leaders, while high-level dialogue and mutual visits are elevating cooperation to a new stage.
As highlighted by S. Toshboyev, during several visits to Uzbekistan by the delegation led by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, issues related to improving the quality of services provided to Uzbek pilgrims and creating more comfortable and safe conditions for them were comprehensively discussed. This demonstrates the continuous attention given to the effective organization of Hajj and Umrah.
It was also specifically noted that close and effective cooperation has been established with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Tashkent regarding the organization and conduct of Hajj and Umrah activities.
In turn, Ambassador Saad Nasser Abu Humaid expressed readiness to further develop cooperation with Uzbekistan in the religious and educational sphere, particularly in ensuring a high level of organization of Hajj and Umrah, improving conditions for pilgrims, and elevating cooperation to a new stage.
He also emphasized his commitment to strengthening friendly and trusting relations between the two countries.
The meeting was held in an open, friendly, and constructive atmosphere.
