On December 10 of this year, a spiritual and educational festive event was held at the Committee on Religious Affairs in connection with “December 10 – Adoption Day of the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and “December 9 – International Anti-Corruption Day.”
The event opened with a collective performance of the State Anthem by the employees of the Committee.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Mr. D. Maksudov, delivered the opening remarks.
In his speech, it was emphasized that the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as a symbol of an independent state, instills a profound sense of pride and honor in the hearts of our people and serves as a unifying spiritual force for society. It was noted that the adoption of the anthem is an important date for strengthening national identity and patriotism.
It was further stressed that corruption poses a serious obstacle to the development of any society, and that in combating this phenomenon, alongside state institutions, every employee bears responsibility and must adhere to principles of integrity.
Following this, the invited guest — Mr. Sh. Gulomov, a representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency — delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of a systematic approach to preventing corruption, implementing integrity standards, mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest, enhancing transparency, and effectively using open data. He also provided information about ongoing reforms and new initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of integrity in public service and reinforcing zero tolerance toward corruption.
The event played an important role in strengthening respect for state symbols, enhancing the patriotic spirit among employees, and forming a firm attitude of intolerance toward corruption.
