Today, on December 2, the Uzbekistan International Islamic Academy hosted a spiritual-educational event within the framework of the Ten-Day Campaign titled “Countering Radicalization and Foreign Ideologies and Promoting a Culture of Information Consumption.” The event focused on the topic: “Pseudo-Salafism: History, Ideology, Characteristics, and Threats.”
The event was attended by the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs, Ms. M. Qahhorova, who delivered a speech.
The main purpose of this ten-day initiative is to protect young people from radicalism, terrorism, extremism, false claims, malicious calls, information attacks, ideological pressures, and the influence of mass culture, while fostering in them feelings of patriotism and loyalty.
To ensure comprehensive and in-depth coverage of the selected topics, leading experts in the socio-political, religious, and cultural-educational fields participated in the event and delivered informative presentations.
At the conclusion of the event, specialists provided well-substantiated answers to participants’ questions.
