On 1 December 2025, the “Civil Society Week” was launched at the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent — a dialogue platform aimed at reviewing the work carried out in the sphere of civil society institutions in our country and developing proposals for further advancement of this sector.
Within the framework of the Week, during the “Public Councils Forum,” the Public Council under the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was recognized as the “Most Active Public Council of the Year.”
It should be noted that in recent years, large-scale reforms have been implemented in our country to develop civil society institutions. In particular, the necessary organizational and legal conditions have been created to expand their participation in public and state governance, and the system of state support has been consistently improved.
As part of this process, important initiatives are being carried out to enhance the activities of public councils under governmental bodies and to introduce effective mechanisms to ensure their efficient operation.
The high recognition of the Public Council under the Committee is a practical outcome of the positive reforms being implemented and a vivid result of the policy aimed at strengthening public participation.
