Bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan rise to the level of alliance

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed the Treaty on Alliance Relations and adopted the Decision of the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.

The following documents were signed in the presence of the heads of state:

– Intergovernmental agreement on labor activity and protection of citizens’ rights;

– Cooperation program between the ministries of foreign affairs for 2025-2026;

– Practical action plan for further enhancing trade, economic, and investment cooperation;

– Protocols on cooperation in pre-school, vocational, secondary specialized, higher education and science;

– Roadmap for cultural and humanitarian cooperation for 2024-2026;

– Action plan in tourism for 2024-2026;

– Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024-2026;

– Protocol on cooperation between the Lawyers’ Qualifications Development Center under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

– Cooperation Agreement between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

– Protocol on cooperation between Forensic Centers.

During the visit, cooperation agreements were also concluded between the cities of Tashkent and Baku, Shakhrisabz and Beylagan, Jizzakh and Guba, and other bilateral documents.
