The Director of the Migration Agency, Mukh sinkhuja Tursunkhujaevich, held an online meeting with the Agency’s honorary representatives in Italy, France, Germany, and Slovakia.
The primary responsibilities of honorary representatives include strengthening cooperation with foreign employers, identifying new employment opportunities, and assisting Uzbek citizens facing challenges related to the protection of their labor rights abroad.
The meeting reviewed key results and ongoing initiatives:
Italy — 36 Uzbek citizens have been deployed to work in the agricultural sector. Additional employment opportunities in the hospitality industry are being explored.
France — 10 citizens have been placed in seasonal employment. Projects involving a further 47 job opportunities are currently being developed.
Slovakia — Assistance has been provided in securing employment for 45 Uzbek citizens in the automotive industry. Cooperation is being expanded into additional sectors.
Germany — Projects focusing on vocational training and employment opportunities in healthcare, industry, and logistics were discussed.
The Agency’s Director emphasized that the effectiveness of honorary representatives should be measured not by the number of negotiations held with foreign employers, but by tangible outcomes — securing actual job opportunities, facilitating legal employment, and ensuring decent working conditions for Uzbek citizens.
