A video appeal has circulated on social media stating that the documents of 7 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan working in the city of Ufa, Russian Federation, were confiscated and that they have not been paid their wages.
The case has been taken under control by the Representative Office of the Migration Agency in the Russian Federation. The citizens mentioned in the video appeal were identified, and direct communication was established with them.
As a result of the practical measures taken, the return of the confiscated documents to all 7 citizens has been ensured. At present, relevant work is underway to recover the wages accrued for the period they actually worked.
Upon completion of this process, if the citizens wish, they will also be provided with the necessary practical assistance to return to Uzbekistan.
The situation remains under the control of the Representative Office of the Migration Agency in the Russian Federation. Work continues to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens and to resolve the existing issues.
