In connection with the appeal from a citizen residing in Samarkand regarding their non-selection by employers in the Republic of Korea, as well as the approaching expiration of their data in the SPAS database, the following is reported.
The deployment of Uzbek citizens to the Republic of Korea for temporary employment through the EPS system is organized on the basis of a memorandum between the two countries.
Successfully passing the examinations does not guarantee employment. It gives a candidate the opportunity to participate in the selection process conducted by Korean employers. The right to select candidates belongs exclusively to employers, and the Migration Agency or other individuals and legal entities are not permitted to interfere in this process.
Candidate data in the SPAS database is stored for two years. This period is established equally for citizens of all 17 countries that send workers to Korea through the EPS system.
The database is maintained by the authorized bodies of the Republic of Korea. The Migration Agency does not have the authority to change data in the database, extend its validity period for a third year, or ensure that a candidate is selected by an employer.
Information and consultations on legal employment opportunities abroad are available through the Agency’s territorial branches and the short number 1282.
