Under the new procedure, individuals are prohibited from taking more than 1 million Russian rubles in cash from Russia to the following countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Interfax.ru

❗️This means that the new procedure also applies to citizens returning from the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the decree provides for an exception procedure. More than 1 million rubles in cash may be taken out through international airports designated by the Russian Government, provided that bank-certified documents confirming that the funds were withdrawn from a bank account or deposit are available.

⚠️In case of violation of the requirements, the amount exceeding 1 million rubles being taken out by an individual is subject to confiscation.

The new requirement applies to cash Russian rubles. The decree also establishes separate restrictions for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.

Recommendation for Uzbek citizens working in Russia: if you are planning to return to Uzbekistan with a large amount of cash rubles, check the procedure for taking funds out of the country and the required documents before travelling.
