Labor cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus discussed

Muhsinxo‘ja Abdurahmonov, Director of the Migration Agency, met with Alexander Ogorodnikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan.
The meeting addressed the organized employment of our compatriots in Belarus, particularly in the Vitebsk region. Employers in the region have reported a need for around 800 workers. Following the verification of documents submitted by candidates from Andijan Region, a list of 204 candidates has been formed so far. Candidates from other regions will also be involved in the selection process.
Job opportunities are being offered in livestock farming, tractor operation, driving, and auxiliary work. Candidates’ documents and professional skills will be checked at the initial stage, while the final selection will be conducted through online interviews with Belarusian employers.
It was also proposed to explore the possibility of employers covering citizens’ travel expenses in advance.
