President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the technical college located in the “Silk Road” industrial zone in Andijan District.
 

Alongside launching new industrial enterprises, Uzbekistan is also placing priority on training qualified specialists for them. In this regard, close integration between education and production plays an important role.
 

The “Andijon-Huanya” International Technical College was established for this purpose. The college trains specialists in high-demand fields for textile, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and other high-tech enterprises located in the “Silk Road” area.
 

The total value of the project is $15 million, and it was implemented entirely through foreign investment. As a result, 150 new jobs were created.
 

A modern educational building designed for 5,000 students has been completed on a four-hectare site. At the next stage, a dormitory, laboratory building, sports ground, canteen, and green area will be constructed.
 

A dual education system has been introduced at the institution. Students acquire theoretical knowledge at the technical college and undertake practical training at major enterprises in the industrial zone. This enables them to gain first-hand experience of production processes, modern equipment, and technologies while still studying.
 

The technical college was launched in June this year. Currently, 210 students are studying here. By 2030, annual enrollment is planned to increase to 1,800 students, while the total number of students will reach 4,000. The number of educational programs will also be increased to 20.
 

The President familiarized himself with the conditions created at the technical college and spoke with young people and the investor.
