NEW STEP IN LABOR MOBILITY BETWEEN UZBEKISTAN AND SERBIA

Director of the Migration Agency Mukhsinkhoja Abdurahmonov met with Militsa Stamenkovski, Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia.
One of the main outcomes of the negotiations was an agreement on the signing of an Intergovernmental Agreement between Uzbekistan and Serbia in the field of migration and mobility.
During the meeting, the Serbian side expressed interest in attracting qualified specialists from Uzbekistan to the construction of facilities for the EXPO 2027 international exhibition to be held in the country. The parties discussed the preliminary training of personnel in this area and directing them to jobs with decent working conditions.
It was also announced that Serbia plans to open an embassy in Uzbekistan. This is expected to significantly simplify the visa application process currently carried out through the city of Astana for our compatriots.
The negotiations continued with Milan Bosnich, Director of the National Employment Service of Serbia. The parties agreed that following the ratification of the Intergovernmental Agreement, they would sign a Protocol on cooperation between the two agencies in the field of labor migration and workforce mobility.
