1.2 million citizens of Uzbekistan work abroad

The "Tashkent International Migration Forum" is currently underway in Tashkent, UZ24.uz correspondent reports.
Speaking at the forum, Behzod Musaev, Director of the Migration Agency, stated that 1.2 million citizens of Uzbekistan are currently working abroad. In the past year of 2025, they remitted $18.9 billion back to their homeland.
Additionally, it was highlighted that 6,300 travel tickets were provided last year to Uzbek citizens who found themselves in difficult situations abroad.
