New agreements on labor migration reached with the USA

Within the framework of the International Migration Review Forum held in New York, the delegation of Uzbekistan discussed new areas of cooperation in the field of labor migration with a number of educational institutions, employers and legal organizations of the United States. Following the meetings, agreements were reached on training and employment of personnel in the fields of medicine, transport and agriculture.
A delegation consisting of officials from the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the USA held a series of meetings with international partners within the framework of the International Migration Review Forum.
At the opening of the forum, António Guterres and Amy Pope spoke about the main directions of global migration policy.
Additionally, agreements were reached with Head Honchos on issuing H-2A visas, promoting the potential of Uzbek agricultural workers in the US, and launching 8-10 week training programs.
