Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan

💼 Representatives of the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Qatar held migration-related meetings in Doha.

🏛 During talks with Qatar’s Minister of Labor, Ali bin Saeed, the parties reviewed qualification requirements in high-demand sectors (healthcare, tourism, aviation, and information technology) and discussed the launch of targeted training programs in Uzbekistan.

🤝 As a result of the meetings:

✔️ a visit of representatives from Qatar’s Ministries of Labor and Health to Uzbekistan will be organized;

✔️ an interagency working group will be established;

✔️ a specialized training program for medical professionals based on Qatar standards will be launched.

📝 Following negotiations with Abdulhadi Barkan, head of Qatar’s state employment organization Jusour:

✔️ the “Uzbekistan–Qatar Labor Forum” will be held in Tashkent in September 2026 with participation of more than 50 employers.

✈️ During the meeting with Qatar Airways Vice President Fathi Atti:

✔️ 65 candidates (flight attendants, engineers, and airport staff) will be selected in May–June this year and employed at Qatar Airways with competitive salaries;

✔️ an agreement was reached to implement a project to recruit 1,600 highly educated specialists in piloting, mechanics, electrical engineering, and engineering fields.
