Key decisions in Türkiye: jobs, protection, and legality for Uzbek citizens

A strategically important meeting was held between Behzod Musayev, Director of the Migration Agency, and Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye, aimed at advancing legal and protected labour migration to a new level.
🤝 Key agreements:
⚖️ Continuation of the practice of legalising Uzbek citizens residing in Türkiye with irregular status without deportation;
🛡 As of March 1 this year, for the first time, work permits will be granted to Uzbek citizens who have been permanently residing in Türkiye for at least three years;
📃 An agreement was reached to sign a Memorandum under which the İŞKUR organization under the Ministry of Labour will centralize the list of high-demand occupations and submit official labour requests to the Migration Agency.
