Nearly 16 billion soums spent on the return of Uzbek citizens to their homeland in 2025

The Migration Agency’s press service has published a report on repatriation expenditures.
In 2025, the Migration Agency repatriated 3,709 Uzbek citizens from 22 countries who were in difficult financial situations abroad. A total of 15.9 billion soums was allocated from the Migration Fund for these humanitarian efforts.
In particular:
📅 On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons (July 30), the first charitable campaign titled “Return to the Homeland” was held from July 30 to August 30. Within the framework of this campaign, 1,300 compatriots who were in difficult situations abroad were returned home.
🩺 Special attention was given to medical conditions:
— 66 citizens were repatriated after accidents or serious illnesses;
including:
— 45 citizens transported by special medical vehicles;— 21 citizens transferred under the supervision of doctors from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
✈️ All transportation, medical, organizational, and other expenses were fully covered by the Migration Fund.
