In recent days, unfounded information has been circulating on social networks and messengers about the possibility of visa-free entry to the Republic of Korea and subsequent employment for citizens of Uzbekistan through third countries. According to official information provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Korea, these reports do not correspond to reality, and there is an increase in the number of misinformation among our citizens.
For reference: the visa-free regime of the Republic of Korea does not provide for the entry of citizens of Uzbekistan for the purpose of carrying out labor activities.
Electronic Permit - K-ETA is intended only for visitors for short-term travel or business purposes and does not grant the right to work in Korea. The analysis shows that the individuals disseminating this misinformation mainly use phone numbers registered in Turkey and the Republic of Korea. Further investigations revealed that they do not possess any official authority; on the contrary, they are fraudsters engaged in deceiving citizens and demanding money under the pretext of "visa assistance" or "employment".
In addition, the migration services of the Republic of Korea have strengthened control over these cases. Persons suspected of involvement in the offense are denied entry into the country. This is causing negative consequences for our innocent citizens.
In this regard, we strongly warn that the information being promoted is false, there is a high probability of being deceived through it, and such cases will have a serious negative impact on the legal status of our citizens.
We ask you to verify reliable and official information about working abroad only through official sources and not to trust unconfirmed information!
