Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The main tasks of the Ministry are:

strategic planning (ensuring) sustainable economic growth;

development, coordination and implementation of macroeconomic policy;

formulation of proposals to curb inflation, develop the domestic consumer market, ensure food security and price stability;

coordinating measures for the integrated socio-economic development of territories;

achievement of national sustainable development goals and development of human capital;

formation, implementation and financing of a program for the development of social and production infrastructure;

implementation of urbanization policy;

provision of housing for the population, financing and development of the mortgage market;

development of the service and service sector;

coordinating the development and implementation of master plans of the territories;

to ensure the implementation of the strategy of transition to a “green” economy and economic growth based on “green” principles, acting as a coordinating body of state policy in this direction;

coordination of tax and customs policy;

improvement of budget policy and inter-budget relations;

ensuring the execution of the state budget;

managing public debt and fiscal risks;

ensuring pricing and financial proportionality of economic sectors;

regulation of accounting, financial reporting and auditing activities and formation of their methodology;

implementation of industrial policy, realization of structural reforms in the basic branches of industry;

management of public finances;

effective organization of transformation and privatization processes of strategically important state enterprises and commercial banks;

development of public-private partnership;

development of small and medium-sized businesses and implementation of an integrated business ecosystem;

implementation of public procurement policy;

implementation of digitalization policy;

development of bilateral economic and financial relations with foreign countries;

development and coordination of internal audit structures of government agencies.
