A Pitch Day held to select the best startups within the framework of the Green Startup Projects Support Program

For information: a program to support green startup projects is being implemented together with the U-Enter Innovative Entrepreneurship Center within the framework of the "Development of green industrialization in Uzbekistan" project implemented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Within this program, 258 applications were received from applicants, 20 of which reached the final stage.
During the event, young and skilled startuppers presented their proposals for the implementation of their ideas and developments aimed at green economy and green industrialization. Projects such as a sustainable waste management system, increasing the efficiency of solar panels, developing energy-saving technologies, modernizing irrigation systems, new types of renewable energy sources, industrial waste water treatment and reuse and others were put forward by startuppers.
According to the results of the final stage of the competition, within the framework of the "Development of green industrialization in Uzbekistan" project, it is planned to allocate grants from 20 million to 400 million soums by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) for the projects with the highest scores.
Furthermore, if the winning projects are successfully implemented and put into practice, they may receive additional support from the organizers at the next stages.
