Of the 1,226 auditors, 38% have an international certificate of accountant (CIPA, ACCA, DipIFR, CPA, etc.). As of 2025, 76% are men and 24% are auditors.
As of the first half of 2025, the number of audit organizations that are members of an international audit organization or international association reached 32. During the same period last year, this figure was 26.
The "Audit" software package has been developed and implemented to ensure the transparency of the activities of audit organizations and the introduction of information and communication technologies in the field of their interaction with government bodies. Currently, the "Audit" software package is operating on the websites http://audit.mf.uz and https://audit.imv.uz. Monitoring of the activities of audit organizations is carried out through this software package.
At the same time, responsible employees of 163 audit organizations were registered in the unified information system "Center" (https://cabinet.prodepartament.uz) of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes (Department).
Starting from 2025, jointly with the Department, work is underway to prepare for the III round of the mutual assessment of the National System for Combating the Legalization of Proceeds from Crime, the Financing of Terrorism and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (NPCD/CFT/CFT), and a report has been prepared within the framework of the approved action plan.
It should also be noted that today the inclusion of audit organizations in the Register is carried out in the following order:
the applicant submits an application in electronic form through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (https://my.gov.uz);
this application is accepted through the electronic platform https://audit.imv.uz and is considered in the prescribed manner;
based on the results of the review, a decision is made to include the audit organization in the register or to reject the application.
At the same time, regulatory legal acts on audit activities have been developed. The work regulations of the Commission for the Review of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) in the state language have been approved. Measures are also being taken to translate ISAs within the framework of the World Bank-funded Institutional Capacity Building (ICBP) project.
Within the framework of international cooperation in the field of audit activities, a number of meetings were held dedicated to the processes of the World Bank's Report on Compliance with Accounting and Auditing Standards and Codes in the Republic of Uzbekistan (ROSC - "Reports on the Observance of Standards and Codes"). The purpose of the ROSC assessments is to develop the accounting and auditing system of Uzbekistan, increase its compliance with international standards, and improve the institutional framework in this area.
Also, in order to further expand international cooperation and improve the quality of work of audit organizations, the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) participated in the 2025 Plenary Session as an observer to become a member of IFIAR as the authorized state body in the field of audit activities. Currently, a number of works are being carried out to become a member of this organization.
