Cooperation aspects Discussed with the Turkish Public Procurement Authority

The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry and representatives of the Department for Public Procurement Policy.
During the talks, the parties discussed upcoming joint efforts in relation to the Memorandum of Cooperation and the Cooperation Program in the field of public procurement signed on May 15 as part of the 8th Meeting of the Uzbekistan–Türkiye Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The sides also agreed to regularly organize training seminars and roundtable discussions focused on experience sharing and enhancing professional knowledge. Additionally, they reached an agreement to create opportunities for Uzbek producers to participate in Türkiye’s public procurement system by the end of this year.
At the conclusion of the meeting, based on the signed cooperation documents, the parties identified concrete measures for cooperation in such priority areas as improving the legal and regulatory framework for public procurement, establishing procedures for centralized purchasing, enhancing the practice of “green” procurement, expanding the use of artificial intelligence tools, and other relevant initiatives.
