A meeting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund was held

On April 15, 2025, a meeting was held with the delegation led by Vincent de Paul Koukpaizan, Senior Economist of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), attended by Akhadbek Khaydarov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Mubin Mirzayev, First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee.
The meeting was also attended by economists and experts from the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, as well as responsible representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the State Tax and Customs Committees.
During the constructive meeting, discussions focused on improving the activities of the Large Taxpayer Regional Inspectorates and Customs Authorities, as well as further developing inter-agency cooperation to ensure the stability of budget revenues.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, both sides agreed to continue developing their cooperation and to work effectively and systematically to achieve the set goals in the aforementioned areas.
