Meeting Held with the President of the Asian Development Bank

The meeting was attended by Keichiro Inui, Senior Advisor to the President of the ADB; Nodirbek Ochilov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Jasur Karshibayev, Adviser to the Minister of Economy and Finance; and other relevant officials.
The discussions focused on further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, supporting economic growth in Uzbekistan, modernizing infrastructure, and introducing advanced technologies.
In particular, an agreement was signed during the meeting on the project to modernize electricity distribution systems. The project aims to improve the reliability and efficiency of electricity supply, modernize substations, expand the capacity of electricity networks, and introduce digital control systems.
The discussions also covered the use of artificial intelligence in economic analysis and forecasting, improvements to data management systems, and the development of digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. The parties exchanged views on opportunities to leverage the ADB’s technical assistance and international expertise in these areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and pursue a systematic and effective approach to achieving their shared objectives.
