The meeting was attended by Kohei Toyoda, Regional Head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at JBIC; Botir Mutalov, JBIC Representative in Uzbekistan; Yohei Higashida, Director General of the Energy Project Finance Department; and other relevant representatives.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further developing mutually beneficial cooperation, expanding ongoing initiatives, and implementing potential joint projects.
In particular, special attention was paid to infrastructure projects being implemented under public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements, including initiatives in the healthcare and energy sectors, as well as efforts to further expand the use of renewable energy sources.
The parties also exchanged views on attracting Japanese companies to the projects and issues related to project financing.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to take cooperation to a new level and expand the exchange of views on the above-mentioned areas.
