Cooperation Priorities Discussed with Asian Development Bank Representatives

The meeting was attended by Mirzo Iskandar Gulamov, ADB Country Operations Head in Uzbekistan, Sherzod Akbarov, ADB Senior Economist, and other representatives of the Bank.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation, advance ongoing initiatives, and promote prospective joint projects.
Particular attention was paid to opportunities for developing the semiconductor and microelectronics sectors and expanding the country’s innovation potential. The participants exchanged views on prospects for leveraging international expertise and technical assistance in these areas.
The parties also discussed the effective application of artificial intelligence technologies in economic processes, accelerating digital transformation, and expanding opportunities offered by emerging technologies.
In addition, the meeting addressed opportunities to implement infrastructure and socio-economic projects through public-private partnership mechanisms and to expand private-sector participation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the importance of continuing practical cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ADB, supporting mutually beneficial initiatives, and jointly advancing new opportunities for cooperation that contribute to economic and technological development.
