The meeting focused on ensuring gender equality in Uzbekistan, empowering women and girls, and further developing the gender-responsive budgeting system.

The parties exchanged views on integrating gender considerations into the state budget process, assessing the impact of budget allocations on different social groups, and improving approaches aimed at promoting gender equality.

Particular attention was also paid to studying international experience in gender-responsive budgeting, strengthening relevant institutional capacity, and expanding cooperation in this area.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of continuing consistent cooperation with UN Women in ensuring gender equality and further developing gender-responsive budgeting mechanisms was emphasized.
